OBERON
CHAMBER MUSIC
FESTIVAL
20-22 November 2026
Welcome to the Oberon Chamber Music Festival!
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the fourth Oberon Chamber Music Festival: a weekend of chamber music in the beautiful town of Oberon. This year we have six concerts, with an all-star lineup of musicians joining us. We’re delighted to welcome back superstar mezzo-soprano Ashlyn Tymms, and to welcome award-winning Australian guitarist Karin Schaupp to the festival for the first time. French harpist Louisic Dulbecco, Principal Harp of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, also returns. Making their festival debuts are some of Australia’s most sought-after string players: Julian Smiles (cello), Dimity Hall (violin) and James Wannan (viola). We also welcome back cellist Paul Ghica, and are thrilled to introduce leading pianist Ying Ho to the festival.Chamber music is about listening... To the musicians around you, to the space you’re in, and to what is happening in the moment. That close connection between performers and audience is what makes chamber music so special, and it’s at the heart of this festival. The concerts take place across three gorgeous Oberon venues: Malachi Gilmore Hall, Mayfield Garden, and the stone chapel of St Barnabas church. Each space brings something different to the music, and together they make for a very special weekend.I hope you’ll join us, take your time, and enjoy some great music in a beautiful part of the world.
I look forward to seeing you there.
